Darin Zanyar, born in a little swedish town in 1987, but ethnically from the kurdish area rose to fame after winning the swedish idol back in 2004. After that victory he has contributed to the poster with four albums. They all have sold to gold and platinum in sverige, but besides austria, germany and switzerland is he not in the reach of a household name yet.We think that his voice has a character that should be genuinly recognized and appreciated, especially considering todays commercial music world with many phony artists with generic vocals. Don't sleep on him. The album Flashback from 2008 is dance pop at a seductive level.
